About this role
Kelso Industries' Project Management Assistant role is an entry point into commercial construction project management, based in their Ogden office. You'd work directly with project leadership teams across the full lifecycle of complex HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical projects, handling the administrative backbone that keeps operations running smoothly. Day-to-day responsibilities span document management, cost tracking, vendor coordination, schedule updates, and communication between field teams, internal departments, and clients—essentially serving as the organizational hub for active projects.
This position suits someone with strong organizational skills and attention to detail who wants hands-on exposure to how construction projects actually work. While prior experience in project coordination, construction administration, or operations is preferred, it's not required; a relevant degree in business, construction management, or project management is beneficial but the company emphasizes dependability and problem-solving ability over credentials. You'll need solid proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Teams) and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders professionally.
Kelso Industries, a 5,000-person organization across 40+ companies, offers stability and genuine career development pathways. Beyond competitive pay scaled to your experience, the package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company contributions, paid time off, and explicit mentorship and training opportunities designed to move you into deeper project management roles.
