About this role
Accenture Federal Services is looking for a senior security leader to architect and oversee comprehensive cybersecurity solutions across DevSecOps environments serving federal clients. You would own the full lifecycle of security implementations—from designing advanced scanning and SIEM systems in cloud and air-gapped settings to embedding security practices into CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration platforms. This role demands deep technical expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code, and automation scripting, combined with the ability to translate complex compliance requirements like NIST 800-53 and DISA STIGs into actionable security controls.
The position requires eight years of progressive cybersecurity experience and a current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, with an active TS/SCI clearance. You'll need hands-on proficiency in Linux administration, multiple programming languages (Bash, Python, Go, or Rust), and DevOps tools such as Git, Ansible, and Terraform. Beyond technical depth, you'll serve as a security evangelist and mentor, working across IT and development teams to remove friction and foster a security-first culture while staying current on emerging threats and defense strategies.
This is a full-time, in-office role in Tampa, Florida, with a salary range of $120,400 to $234,700 depending on experience and qualifications. Additional certifications in AWS DevOps, Kubernetes security, or DevSecOps, along with hands-on experience with ELK Stack or GitLab CI/CD, would strengthen your candidacy.
