About this role

AlixPartners is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to join its EMEA practice in London, working hybrid from the office. This is a hands-on finance role that sits at the intersection of engagement delivery and financial management, requiring you to support Managing Directors and Partners across the firm's consulting engagements. You'll own critical tasks including reviewing project profitability and working capital, managing billing arrangements across retainers, fixed fees, time-based, and success fee models, and liaising with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate invoicing and timely collections.

The day-to-day involves detailed financial oversight: reviewing engagement letters against pricing frameworks, reconciling time and expense submissions, communicating with billing teams, following up on outstanding receivables, and handling ad hoc requests from senior leadership. You'll also support system training for newly promoted staff and work across Corporate Services functions—People, Legal, IT, Business Development—to resolve conflicting priorities and improve processes. This requires strong judgment, particularly when challenging senior stakeholders on financial or operational issues.

You'll need a STEM degree and prior accounting or finance experience, with intermediate Excel proficiency and excellent communication skills. The role demands high attention to detail, composure under pressure, and a genuine interest in understanding how the business operates so you can add strategic value over time. You report to the Strategic Finance Director and will be part of a fast-paced, high-growth firm where your organizational discipline directly impacts service delivery.
