Description
About Redwood Materials
Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 by JB Straubel, co-founder and former CTO of Tesla, on a simple but radical idea: the critical minerals powering the energy transition already exist. They just need to come back. Today Redwood is the largest lithium-ion battery recycler in North America — recovering, refining, and redeploying critical minerals from end-of-life batteries back into the supply chain. On the energy side, Redwood has deployed the largest second-life battery project in the world, delivering power to AI data centers in months rather than years using proprietary energy architecture engineered entirely in-house. The company is profitable, the market it operates in is projected to grow 20 to 50 times over the next decade, and Redwood is the only company with the supply chain, the technology, and the operational scale to lead it.

About this role
Redwood Materials is seeking a floor-level leader to manage daily warehouse operations at its battery recycling facility in McCarran. The Lead Material Flow Specialist coordinates personnel, inventory, and material movement across shifts, stepping in as the primary operational contact when supervisory leadership is absent. You'll direct warehouse associates on safety and quality standards, troubleshoot operational issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and drive continuous improvement—all while working a 6am–6pm schedule Sunday through Tuesday, with alternating Wednesdays off.
This role suits someone with hands-on warehouse or manufacturing leadership experience who understands inventory management systems, material handling, and the mechanics of a fast-paced operation. You should be comfortable training and mentoring associates, collaborating across departments like Production and Logistics, and balancing competing priorities independently. Forklift certification and WMS experience are valued, though warehouse leadership background is the core requirement.
The position offers full-time work at a company with genuine scale and market momentum—Redwood is North America's largest lithium-ion battery recycler and operates profitably in a sector projected to grow dramatically. If you're drawn to sustainability and want to lead operations in a critical minerals recovery business, this is a concrete operational role with real responsibility.
