About this role
Ascension's Manager Quality role in Tulsa centers on leading a small team of quality professionals while driving measurable improvements across the health system's value-based care contracts. You'll own the strategic design and execution of quality initiatives that directly impact patient outcomes and shared savings, working across ACO, Medicare Advantage and commercial arrangements. This means translating complex payer data into actionable insights for clinical leaders, managing care gap closure workflows in collaboration with operations and IT teams, and serving as the key liaison between internal leadership and external payer partners.
The position requires at least five years of progressive healthcare experience in quality management or population health, with demonstrated knowledge of frameworks like HEDIS, Stars, eCQMs or MIPS. A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or public health is preferred, though the role can be filled with an associate's degree or high school diploma plus relevant experience. You'll need one to two years of prior leadership or supervisory experience to succeed in mentoring and developing your team while managing competing priorities across the health system.
This is a full-time, in-office role suited to someone who thrives in cross-functional environments and can balance strategic planning with operational execution. If you have a track record managing quality initiatives in value-based care settings and enjoy translating data into clinical action, this offers the chance to have direct impact on both patient care and organizational performance at a large nonprofit health system.
