Professional Summary
Feldkamp Mechanical is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Installer / Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Core Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC installation and/or service experience preferred
- Experience installing HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and system components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of RTUs, AHUs, VRF systems, split systems, and VAV systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in commercial and industrial environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA standards
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
- Install ductwork, piping, equipment, and associated HVAC components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and service work as assigned.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Assist with HVAC system startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and fellow tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and job documentation.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and company standards.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Represent Feldkamp Mechanical professionally with customers and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC apprenticeship or trade school training
- EPA Certification preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with commercial HVAC service and installation
- Experience working on large commercial or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building codes

About this role
Feldkamp Mechanical, part of the larger Kelso Industries network, is looking for a Commercial HVAC Installer/Technician to join its Cincinnati team. You'd be responsible for the full lifecycle of commercial HVAC systems—installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair—working across RTUs, AHUs, VRF systems, and other equipment in commercial and industrial settings. The role involves reading blueprints, coordinating with project teams, performing system startup and commissioning, and maintaining detailed documentation of your work.
The position calls for at least two years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience, with a solid grasp of mechanical systems, strong troubleshooting ability, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. EPA certification and OSHA credentials are preferred but not required. You'll need a valid driver's license and a commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship. This is a full-time, in-office role in Cincinnati.
