About this role

Aspire Health Alliance's Community Crisis Stabilization Unit in Quincy is hiring a Mental Health Worker for weekend evenings—a part-time entry point into direct mental health care. You'd work Saturday and Sunday, 3pm to 11pm (16 hours weekly), supporting individuals during psychiatric crises in a 10-bed, community-based program designed as an alternative to hospital admission. The role involves facilitating treatment planning, leading therapeutic and recreational activities, supporting daily living needs, and helping maintain a safe environment during stays that typically last three to five days.

The position requires a high school diploma and prior experience working with people with mental health issues; prior acute care experience is preferred but not required, making this accessible to candidates with relevant background even if not in a formal clinical setting. You'll need to stay composed under pressure, communicate clearly, and handle intensive support situations. A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field strengthens your candidacy. The salary ranges from $22.40 to $25.25 per hour based on your experience and qualifications, calculated on a full-time equivalent.
