    About this role

In Ascension's catheterization lab in Racine, you would monitor patients' cardiac function in real time during invasive procedures, tracking heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and oxygen saturation while communicating critical changes to physicians and the clinical team. The role demands both technical precision—performing hemodynamic calculations, cardiac output measurements, and other intra-procedure testing—and clinical judgment to anticipate what information the physician needs next and adapt quickly as cases evolve.

You'll need either a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential, an electrophysiology cardiographic tech certification, or a radiologic technologist certification in radiography, all obtained before your start date. A high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, an associate's degree, or four years of specialized job experience qualifies educationally. BLS certification must be obtained within your first month. The position also involves hands-on duties: setting up the lab, preparing and handling sterile equipment, transporting patients, managing waste and infection control, and educating patients on post-procedure care and activity restrictions.

This is a full-time, in-office role suited to someone with existing cardiac or interventional imaging credentials who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment where attention to detail and communication directly affect patient safety.
