Description
About the Role
CoreWeave is seeking a Senior People Operations Partner to own benefits, leave of absence, and accommodation administration across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Lifecycle, you will run these programs day to day, accurately and compliantly, while partnering with Total Rewards, People Business Partners, Payroll, Legal, People Systems, and our brokers, carriers, and vendors.
This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role. You will serve as the subject matter expert for benefits and leave operations in the region and the primary contact for our leave, benefits, and COBRA vendors. Total Rewards owns benefits strategy and plan design; you own how those plans and policies are executed.
What You’ll Do
US benefits administration
-
Own new-hire and life-event enrollments, eligibility, qualifying-event reviews, dependent verification, and open enrollment execution, maintaining clean data in Workday and at every carrier.
-
Monitor carrier and vendor EDI feeds and reconcile discrepancies before they reach employees.
-
Partner with Payroll on deductions, imputed income, and arrears so pay and coverage match.
Leave of absence and accommodations
-
Administer the full US leave lifecycle, including FMLA eligibility and designation, state PFML and disability programs, STD and LTD coordination, USERRA, intermittent leave tracking, benefits continuation during leave, and return to work.
-
Run the accommodation interactive process under the ADA and PWFA, including intake, documentation requests, partnering with managers and PBPs on options, documenting decisions, and keeping medical information confidential and separate from personnel files.
Canada benefits and leave
-
Administer group benefits enrollment and changes, EI leave coordination, employer top-ups, Records of Employment, and provincial employment standards leaves.
-
Apply the duty to accommodate under provincial human rights law, to the point of undue hardship.
Vendors and compliance
-
Manage day-to-day relationships with the leave and disability TPA, COBRA administrator, broker, and carriers; hold them to SLAs, escalate errors, and bring vendor performance data to Total Rewards.
-
Support compliance cycles, including ACA reporting, COBRA and required benefits notices, Form 5500 data requests, and audit-ready leave and accommodation documentation.
-
Support federal contractor obligations, including Section 503 and VEVRAA requirements.
Inquiries, playbooks, and continuous improvement
-
Resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 benefits, leave, and accommodation inquiries, escalating to Legal or Total Rewards when appropriate.
-
Build and maintain leave and accommodation playbooks, including state and provincial leave matrices, manager guidance, and templated notices.
-
Coach People Operations Specialists on benefits and leave questions.
-
Identify and reduce manual work and friction, such as improving leave intake, EDI reconciliation, and automated reminders before a leave ends.
Who You Are
-
You have 6–9+ years of experience in benefits administration, leave administration, or People Operations, with hands-on ownership of US benefits and leave.
-
You have working knowledge of FMLA and multi-state leave, including state PFML and disability programs, CFRA and PDL, intermittent leave, and leave stacking.
-
You have hands-on experience running the ADA interactive process and PWFA accommodations, with sound documentation and confidentiality practices.
-
You have practical knowledge of COBRA, ACA employer reporting, HIPAA privacy for plan data, Section 125 qualifying events, and ERISA administrative requirements.
-
You have Canadian benefits and leave experience, including group benefits, EI and top-up coordination, Records of Employment, provincial leaves, and the duty to accommodate.
-
You have experience managing leave TPAs, COBRA administrators, brokers, and carriers, including EDI feed troubleshooting.
-
You have Workday HCM experience in Benefits and Absence and can execute transactions accurately. This is a Workday user role, not a configuration role.
-
You are proficient with Google Workspace and Slack.
Preferred qualifications
-
Federal contractor experience, including Section 503 and VEVRAA self-identification and recordkeeping.
-
Quebec benefits and leave experience.
-
CEBS, CBP, or CLMS certification.
-
Experience in operationally complex environments, such as data centers or mixed corporate and frontline workforces.
-
Active use of AI tools in day-to-day work, with clear practices for protecting PHI and personal data.

About this role
CoreWeave is hiring a Senior People Operations Partner to manage the full lifecycle of benefits, leave, and accommodations across the US and Canada. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Employee Lifecycle—you'll own day-to-day execution of enrollment, eligibility, leave administration, and the ADA interactive process, while serving as the primary point of contact for vendors, carriers, and TPAs. You'll also partner closely with Total Rewards, Payroll, Legal, and People Business Partners to ensure compliance and accuracy across Workday and all carrier systems.
The role demands deep expertise in multi-state and multi-country employment law. You'll need solid working knowledge of FMLA, state PFML and disability programs, COBRA, ACA reporting, ERISA, and HIPAA, plus hands-on experience running accommodation processes and managing vendor relationships and EDI feeds. Canadian benefits and leave administration is essential; federal contractor compliance (Section 503, VEVRAA) and Quebec experience are preferred. Workday HCM proficiency in Benefits and Absence modules is required, along with Google Workspace and Slack.
This contract position in New York City suits someone with six to nine years of benefits or People Operations experience who thrives in detail-oriented, compliance-heavy work and enjoys solving operational friction. CoreWeave values candidates who bring diverse backgrounds even if they're not a perfect match on every requirement, and they're explicit that this is a user role, not a configuration role.
