Description

The Role
You will work closely with the US Operations leadership to help scale YouLend's fastest-growing region (+100% year-on-year currently).

You will work on some of the most important and ambiguous problems facing the US business. From improving sales performance and removing friction from the merchant journey to identifying how AI can fundamentally change the way our teams work. You will use data to understand problems, develop solutions, and take ownership of implementing them and measuring their impact.

This is a highly analytical and hands-on role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable moving between analysing data, developing a strategy, testing solutions and working with teams to put them into practice. You will have significant ownership from day one and work cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Credit Operations, Product and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own high-impact strategic and operational initiatives end-to-end, from identifying and analysing opportunities through to designing solutions, implementing changes and measuring their impact.

  • Build and continuously improve KPI reporting and performance management, giving teams and leadership clear visibility into performance, identifying the drivers behind changes and translating insights into action.

  • Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities across the organisation, reducing administrative work, improving productivity and enabling teams to focus on higher-value activities.

  • Experiment with new AI-enabled ways of working, rapidly testing and validating solutions before partnering with Product and Technology to scale the highest-impact opportunities.
Example problems:
  • How can we use AI to improve conversion rates and automate part of the sales process?

  • How do we remove friction from the merchant journey and reduce pushbacks in the funnel?

  • Why are certain salespeople, partners or customer segments outperforming others, and how can we replicate that performance?

  • How should our sales team structure and prioritise their tasks?

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL (preferably), Excel, Python, or similar tools to extract insights, build models and support decision-making.

  • Ability to make sound decisions using data and judgement, even when information is incomplete or ambiguous.

  • Interest in fintech, lending, and the dynamics of scaling a high-growth business.

  • Strong ownership mindset. You take responsibility for outcomes, not tasks, and proactively drive initiatives to completion.

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change when better solutions exist.

About this role

YouLend's US Operations team is scaling rapidly—currently growing over 100% year-on-year—and this role puts you at the center of that expansion. As a Strategy and Operations Associate, you'll own high-impact initiatives end-to-end: analyzing data to surface opportunities, designing solutions, implementing changes, and measuring results. You'll move fluidly between analytical work and hands-on execution, working cross-functionally with Sales, Credit Operations, Product, and Technology to tackle the business's most pressing problems—whether that's using AI to improve conversion rates, removing friction from the merchant journey, or understanding why certain salespeople or customer segments outperform others.

This is fundamentally an analytical and ownership-driven role. You'll need strong skills with SQL, Excel, Python, or similar tools to extract insights and build models, paired with sound judgment when data is incomplete. Beyond the technical side, you'll own KPI reporting and performance management, identify AI and automation opportunities to reduce administrative work, and rapidly test new ways of working before scaling what works. The role demands someone comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change, with a genuine interest in fintech and the dynamics of high-growth businesses.

YouLend offers competitive benefits including 80% health coverage, 401(k) matching up to 5%, 20 days PTO plus public holidays, and paid parking. The company has been recognized as a Top 250 Fintech by CNBC and a Best Place to Work by the Sunday Times, backed by well-capitalized private equity and part of Banking Circle Group. The position is full-time and based in-office in Atlanta.
