Team description
SumUp's Affiliate Marketing team helps small businesses discover our products through a fast growing network of partners across Europe, a network that's more than doubled in size over the past year. Sitting within the wider Performance Marketing group, this small team manages web partnerships and influencers from first outreach through to long term growth, working closely with an agency, designers, and content colleagues. This internship offers genuine hands-on exposure to how a specialist marketing channel runs day to day, from partner research to campaign activation to reporting.
What you'll do
- Support partner research, onboarding and activation across an agreed market or partner segment, using existing playbooks
- Help keep partner offers, content, visuals and commission information accurate and up to date
- Create and follow up on tickets for assets, tracking and landing page updates
- Assist with routine reporting, including partner evaluations and performance summaries
- Work alongside the agency, designers and content colleagues to keep campaigns and promotions on track
You'll be great for this role if…
- Currently studying towards, or recently graduated with, a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
- Basic understanding of performance marketing, online customer journeys and campaign KPIs
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, structured data and reporting tools, with a willingness to learn new platforms
- Genuine interest in AI and new tools, with a critical eye on what they produce
- Strong attention to detail and ownership over tasks, even when priorities shift
- Excellent written and spoken English, with clear and proactive communication across teams

💰 This is a 6-12 month paid internship with a fixed hourly compensation of €13.9.

About this role
SumUp's Affiliate Marketing team is looking for an intern to support the day-to-day operations of their partner network across Europe, which has grown significantly over the past year. You'd work on partner research and onboarding, maintain accurate campaign assets and commission details, coordinate with designers and content teams on activations, and help track performance through reporting and evaluations. This is a genuine operational role within a small, specialized team—not a generic marketing internship—where you'll see how a performance marketing channel actually functions from partner outreach through to long-term growth.
The ideal candidate has studied marketing, business, or communications, understands performance marketing fundamentals and KPIs, and is comfortable working with spreadsheets and data. You'll need strong attention to detail, proactive communication across teams, and fluency in English. A genuine interest in AI tools and how they apply to marketing is valued, as is the ability to own tasks even when priorities shift.
This is a 6–12 month paid internship at €13.9 per hour, based in SumUp's Berlin office. You'll have access to 28 days of paid leave, subsidized transport via the Deutschlandticket, gym and wellness support, subsidized meals, and the chance to work with a global fintech team serving millions of small businesses.
