About this role
CBIZ, a major professional services firm with thousands of employees across the country, is looking for a receptionist to fill a temporary-to-permanent role at its New York City office. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, managing the front desk with a mix of customer-facing and administrative tasks: greeting guests, answering phones and emails, scheduling appointments and conference rooms, handling mail and payments, and providing general information about the firm's departments and services.
The role suits someone with at least a year of office experience, strong interpersonal skills, and solid proficiency in Microsoft Office. You'll need to juggle multiple priorities, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and maintain attention to detail while staying organized. A high school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement, though the job emphasizes a positive attitude and flexibility as much as technical ability.
This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent, so it could be a good entry point if you're looking to establish yourself at a larger organization or test out a full-time commitment before committing.
