About this role
BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring RBTs to work with children and young adults with autism across Maui, offering both center-based positions at their Wailuku Autism Center and one-on-one support in schools and homes. You'll implement behavior therapy techniques under the guidance of a Behavior Specialist and Behavioral Services Manager, collecting data, documenting progress, and helping clients build skills and reduce challenging behaviors. The role requires establishing strong relationships with clients and families while monitoring health and wellbeing.
The position suits someone with at least one year of experience working with children who have developmental or intellectual disabilities, plus current CPR/First Aid certification. If you don't yet hold your RBT credential, BAYADA will pay for your training and provide extensive supervision to help you earn it—a requirement for ABA and insurance-based work in Hawaii. Part-time scheduling is flexible, with shifts available Monday through Friday and weekends, mostly early mornings and afternoons, and you can work in your neighborhood or take additional hours elsewhere.
The pay starts at $26–30 per hour with health insurance, paid time off, scholarships, weekly paychecks, and employee appreciation events. This is a straightforward opportunity if you're drawn to direct support work with autistic children and want employer-sponsored credentialing.
