Position Summary:
- Be the connecter and facilitator of collective power and assist with the bar service period, tending bar and serving food to guests exceeding their expectations
- Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks and tailored beverages to guests
- Ensure the outlet is adequately stocked and clean at all times
- Welcome and engage with our guests throughout the complete beverage experience
- Support the bar team in general operational tasks working closely the food and beverage team
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests through engaging experiences and thoughtful service, enabling future bookings

About this role
You'd be working behind the bar at Lagoon House within The Ritz-Carlton Port Douglas, preparing cocktails and mixed drinks while delivering the attentive, personalized service the property is known for. The role sits at the intersection of hospitality and mixology—you'll greet guests, craft their beverages to specification, manage stock and cleanliness, and work closely with the food and beverage team to keep service flowing smoothly during busy periods. This is a part-time position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoys connecting with guests.
You'll need current RSA certification, prior bartending or similar hospitality experience, and Australian working rights. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, solution-focused, and energized by the demands of a premium hotel bar setting.
