About this role
At Twitch, this Senior UX Designer role sits at the intersection of product strategy and hands-on design work. You'd lead design initiatives for streamer creation and viewer engagement across the platform's ecosystem, working directly with product managers, engineers, and researchers while representing your work to executive leadership. The position requires both the craft skills to execute polished designs and the strategic thinking to influence product roadmaps—you'll mentor junior designers, conduct qualitative and quantitative research with real streamers and viewers, and iterate on solutions that help communities thrive on a global scale.
The role demands at least five years of UX design experience with a strong track record in content discovery or engagement. You'll need demonstrated proficiency in interaction design, mobile prototyping, and Figma, plus the ability to synthesize research insights into design decisions. A degree in design, interaction design, or HCI is expected. Experience as a content creator or familiarity with user-generated content platforms would be valuable, as would knowledge of design systems and the ability to run complex research plans.
This is an in-office position based in New York City, with a base salary of $155,400–$210,300 depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation includes sign-on payments, RSUs, health coverage, 401(k) matching, flexible PTO, and parental leave.
