About this role

SK hynix's product application engineering team validates enterprise SSD technologies at the system level, and this six-month internship puts you directly into that work. You'll develop test plans for PCIe NVMe drives, analyze failures, and collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers to debug issues and ensure products meet specification. The role combines hands-on testing and automation with root-cause analysis—you're not just running tests, but interpreting results and driving solutions across teams.

The position suits someone with a background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline who has solid programming skills in Python or C/C++ and some exposure to software testing or automation. Experience with Linux or Windows command-line environments is valuable. A notable requirement is hands-on experience integrating advanced AI models, which suggests the team is exploring how those tools support validation workflows. You'll work full-time in San Jose on a structured six-month schedule.
