About this role
SK hynix Memory Solutions America is seeking a senior-level security engineer to lead a comprehensive industrial security program across their San Jose operations. This role spans both IT and physical security, requiring someone who can establish and maintain security policies, operate enterprise-grade monitoring tools like SIEM and EDR platforms, and respond to active threats. You'd be responsible for everything from configuring firewalls and intrusion prevention systems to investigating security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting compliance audits.
The position demands at least five years of hands-on security experience, with particular strength in enterprise network and endpoint protection tools. Equally important is the ability to communicate and collaborate across technical teams, business units, and external stakeholders—and notably, this role requires business proficiency in both English and Korean. You should be comfortable designing security awareness programs, managing physical access controls, and staying current with emerging threats and attack methods. This is a full-time, in-office role in San Jose.
The ideal candidate will have worked in multinational or R&D-focused environments and brings experience with security vendor management, cloud security considerations, or relevant certifications. If you have a track record of translating security requirements into policy and operations while managing both technical solutions and people, this role offers the scope to drive security strategy at a major semiconductor company.
