About this role

SmartRent's Installation QC Manager role sits at the intersection of field operations and quality assurance for a publicly traded proptech company. You'd spend significant time traveling to installation sites to conduct audits, investigate quality issues, and ensure that SmartRent's hardware and software integrations meet company standards and customer expectations. The work involves both hands-on problem-solving—digging into root causes of installation failures—and relationship-building, as you'll serve as a key liaison between field teams and the quality organization.

The position calls for someone with 3–5 years in quality control or installation processes, ideally backed by a degree in Engineering or Quality Management. You need strong analytical skills to support corrective action development, comfort with frequent travel, and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and operational teams. This role suits someone who thrives in a hybrid environment—part auditor, part troubleshooter, part coach—and who can balance attention to detail with the flexibility required in a field-heavy role.
