About this role
SPS-North America is hiring an on-call office services specialist to provide flexible coverage across client sites in New York City. You'd work from a home office base but be deployed to different locations on short notice, filling in for regular staff or handling surge work. The role spans mail and package management, reception, light facilities support, copy/print equipment, and conference room setup—essentially keeping office operations running smoothly wherever you're needed on any given day.
Success in this position requires adaptability, strong customer service instincts, and comfort with variety. You'll handle mail sorting and shipping/receiving with chain-of-custody software, greet visitors, troubleshoot basic facilities issues, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. About half the time involves physical work: lifting up to 60 lbs, moving packages on carts, and being on your feet. You need a high school diploma, at least six months of prior work experience, solid MS Office skills, and the ability to work flexible hours as assigned.
The role offers a full-time position at $20/hour with standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off starting at 80 hours annually, and referral bonuses. This is a good fit if you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy problem-solving on the fly, and want exposure to different office operations without being locked into a single desk.
