About this role

Standish Management's Fund Controller role centers on managing the financial operations and reporting for private equity and venture capital clients from the Raleigh office. You'll work alongside an Engagement Manager to handle fund accounting, capital account administration, financial statement preparation, and investor reporting. The position involves supervising audit and tax processes, managing portfolio company financings, forecasting cash flow, processing capital calls and distributions, and maintaining investor data in third-party systems—with occasional travel to client sites.

The role is best suited for someone with at least two years of public accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Private equity or venture capital background and familiarity with partnership accounting are valued but not required; a CPA is considered a plus. You'll need solid proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook to manage the detailed financial tracking and reporting this position demands.

Standish offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability and parental leave plans, a 401k, flexible vacation, and a year-end office closure. The work environment is described as flexible, though this is an in-office role.
