About this role

Piedmont Door Solutions is hiring an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician to service the Charlotte area and surrounding region. You'll work on-site at commercial buildings, hospitals, and retail locations, installing, repairing, and maintaining automatic doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and related entrance systems. The company provides all necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles, so you're not expected to arrive with specialized door knowledge—instead, they're looking for someone with a foundation in skilled trades like carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, construction, military service, or fabrication who can learn their systems and take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.

The role demands physical capability: you'll need to stand, bend, climb, and lift 75+ pounds regularly in outdoor and non-climate-controlled environments, sometimes working at heights. You'll also coordinate with office staff on parts ordering and time tracking. A valid driver's license with a clean record is required, as you may drive up to two hours to job sites. The position includes standard benefits—health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off—and requires passing a background check and drug screen before starting.
