About this role
MedElite Group is hiring a Cardio/Echo Technician to perform echocardiograms at skilled nursing and long-term care facilities throughout Connecticut. You'll conduct transthoracic echocardiograms, capture diagnostic images for physician interpretation, and document findings while ensuring patient comfort and safety in a geriatric care setting. The role involves traveling between facilities, collaborating with providers and nursing staff, and maintaining ultrasound equipment.
This position requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and current RDCS certification, along with prior hands-on experience performing echocardiograms. Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments is preferred. You should be comfortable with prolonged standing or sitting, patient positioning and lifting, and working with older adults who may have complex medical needs.
The role is full-time at $19.00 per hour with paid time off. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, so you'll want to factor in self-employment considerations. If you're drawn to direct patient care in senior living communities and have the required cardiac sonography credentials and experience, this could be a meaningful fit.
