About this role

Flexport is looking for someone to lead drayage procurement strategy across the East Coast, managing carrier relationships and pricing for a $10 trillion global trade platform. You'd own the full lifecycle of carrier sourcing, vetting, and contracting while serving as the regional market expert—staying on top of industry conditions and translating that knowledge into internal strategy and client solutions. The role sits at the intersection of procurement, sales enablement, and P&L management, requiring you to balance cost optimization with service performance and growth targets.

This position suits someone with 5-7+ years in trucking, freight forwarding, or supply chain procurement who has hands-on experience managing carrier or vendor relationships. You'll need strong analytical capabilities to drive data-informed decisions, deep familiarity with North American drayage markets, and the negotiation skills to build competitive networks and manage annual RFPs. The work is collaborative and fast-paced—you'll partner regularly with sales, demand planning, and carrier management teams while also representing business needs to Flexport's procurement technology group.

Based in Atlanta and full-time in-office, the role offers a salary range of $74,500 to $93,000, plus bonus, equity, and standard benefits. It's a good fit if you thrive in high-growth environments, enjoy building and maintaining relationships, and want to directly influence how a major logistics platform operates across a key region.
