About this role

Pacific Seafood's Dock Supervisor role centers on managing the receiving operation at their Seward facility, overseeing everything from scheduling vessel arrivals to directing staff and ensuring products meet strict food safety standards. You'll be responsible for coordinating dock activities, operating heavy equipment like cranes and forklifts, and maintaining HACCP and sanitation protocols throughout the receiving process. The position demands hands-on involvement—you'll monitor product quality, manage inventory reviews with the plant manager, maintain relationships with fishermen and vendors, and keep the dock running safely and efficiently.

This role requires solid equipment operation experience across multiple types of machinery and ideally some background in food safety programs like HACCP or the COOL Act. You'll need at least one year of related experience, knowledge of basic knots and line splicing, and the physical capability to stand for sustained periods, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and work in a cold, wet warehouse environment with high noise levels and exposure to hazardous materials. Strong communication skills matter here—you'll be directing staff and conveying detailed instructions clearly and quickly.

The position offers a $20–24 hourly range and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing, paid time off, and an employee assistance program. This is a full-time, in-office role at a family-owned company that emphasizes servant leadership and performance-based rewards.
