You'll set up and operate SMT lines by loading reels into feeders, programming machines according to work orders, and monitoring production to catch quality issues early. The role also involves managing component storage using vertical storage systems, conducting first-piece inspections, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly.
This position suits someone with manufacturing experience and a solid grasp of electronics assembly processes. You'll need to read schematics and work instructions, make minor machine adjustments, and think through problems when equipment doesn't perform as expected. Hands-on experience with pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems is valued. The job requires attention to detail, particularly when handling moisture-sensitive components and organizing inventory by FIFO principles.
