About this role
At ISG's Water Business Unit in Columbus, you'd be designing and managing stormwater systems that protect rural communities from flooding while improving water quality and land sustainability. The role spans the full project lifecycle—from conceptual planning and hydrologic modeling through construction oversight—working alongside internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver solutions using industry-standard software like HydroCAD, XPSWMM, and Civil3D. You'd conduct field inspections, manage permitting and environmental compliance, and mentor junior staff as projects progress.
This position calls for a PE-licensed civil or environmental engineer with five to ten years in surface water work, including experience with stormwater master plans, flood analysis, streambank restoration, or rural drainage design. You'll need strong technical modeling skills, solid communication abilities for working across teams and with communities, and the independence to manage projects with minimal supervision while traveling between job sites and office locations.
ISG structures this as an employee ownership role, meaning you'd share in company profits and participate in an ESOP. Beyond the 75,000–150,000 salary range, benefits include medical/dental/vision, paid time off and holidays, parental leave, 401K, and mileage reimbursement for field work.
