About this role
Dexis Consulting Group is looking for a seasoned advisor to help navigate a significant business development opportunity with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security. You would serve as a strategic guide for the firm's capture and proposal efforts, drawing on your deep knowledge of DS priorities, structure, and decision-making to shape Dexis's approach. This is a part-time, 1099 engagement rather than a traditional full-time role.
Your core contribution would be translating your insider understanding of the diplomatic security landscape into actionable strategy. You'd validate what the client actually needs and expects, facilitate introductions between Dexis leadership and key stakeholders, and advise on engagement tactics specific to State Department contracting. The work spans pre-solicitation through the bid phase, with periodic strategy sessions where you function as a trusted advisor to leadership.
This role demands at least five years of direct experience with the State Department and genuine relationships within the Bureau of Diplomatic Security or among current training and technical security engineering contractors. You'll need exceptional discretion, a track record of advising capture teams on State contracts, and the ability to operate with integrity in client-facing situations. If you have these credentials and want to leverage your DS network on a flexible basis, this could be a strong fit.
