About this role

Ascension's Pensacola location is seeking a registered nurse to work as a float across one or more specialty units, providing direct patient care in a hospital setting. You'll implement and monitor care plans, communicate patient status to the healthcare team, coordinate care across disciplines, and execute physician and nursing orders. The role requires flexibility to move between units as staffing needs dictate.

To qualify, you must hold an active Florida RN license before your start date and obtain BLS certification within your first month. While a nursing diploma or equivalent is the baseline requirement, the position prefers candidates with at least one year of hospital experience in progressive care or ICU settings, which would prepare you well for the variety of patient acuity you'll encounter across specialty units. This is a full-time, in-office role within a large nonprofit Catholic health system.
