About this role
Isar Aerospace's Integrated Engine Design team is looking for a working student to contribute directly to the piping systems of their rocket engines—from 3D modeling and CAD work through to manufacturing and testing. You'll model secondary lines and sensor capillaries based on fluid schematics, prepare technical drawings for hardware approval, track component procurement, and run clearance checks within the engine assembly. This is hands-on work with real flight hardware that moves from your designs into production.
You should be at least in your third semester of an Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree (or related field) with solid 3D modeling experience from internships, projects, or student teams. Proficiency in Siemens NX is important, along with a practical understanding of fluid and mechanical systems. The role demands someone who can meet design deadlines, communicate clearly across teams, and turn concepts into manufacturable designs. Experience with piping systems, GD&T, manufacturing principles, or rocket engine schematics would strengthen your candidacy.
The position is full-time and based in Parsdorf, Bavaria, with in-office work. Benefits include subsidized meals, a mobility allowance (Deutschlandticket or fuel), sports club membership, free snacks and drinks, and access to mental health support through OpenUp.
