About this role

Gonzalez Companies is looking for someone who has already proven themselves delivering municipal infrastructure projects and is ready to leverage that technical foundation into a business development leadership role. You'd be responsible for growing the firm's municipal engineering presence across Missouri—identifying opportunities with city engineers and public works directors, leading pursuit strategies, and serving as the primary point of contact for key clients. This is genuinely a seller/doer position, meaning you'll combine relationship-building and market strategy with hands-on involvement in winning work and supporting project delivery.

The role suits a municipal engineering professional with at least 10 years of consulting experience who has already built credible relationships in the Missouri market and demonstrated success in business development. You'll need strong communication skills, the ability to lead proposals and client presentations, and comfort traveling about 20% throughout the state. The position is based in either St. Charles or St. Louis and operates on a hybrid schedule, with a salary range of $175,000 to $230,000 plus a long-term incentive bonus structure, comprehensive health benefits, and professional development support.
