About this role

Ascension's dental receptionist role in Milwaukee centers on managing the front-office operations that keep a dental practice running smoothly. You'll handle patient check-in and scheduling, maintain accurate records, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate referrals—essentially serving as the hub between patients, clinical staff, and administrative systems. The position requires attention to detail around compliance and privacy, particularly when managing patient documentation and insurance information.

This is a full-time, in-office role suited for someone with a high school diploma or one year of relevant administrative or dental office experience. No specialized certification is required to start. You'll need strong communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, providers, and your clinical team, along with the organizational ability to juggle multiple administrative tasks and resolve billing or scheduling issues that arise. If you're detail-oriented, comfortable with patient interaction, and looking for a stable position within a large nonprofit health system, this could be a good fit.
