About this role
The Jane Pauley Community Health Center is looking for a Patient Service Representative to be the welcoming face of their federally qualified health center network across Indianapolis. You'd handle the full front-desk experience—greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and managing the phones with a three-ring answer standard. This is a float position, so you'd move between multiple JPCHC sites as needed, which means reliable transportation and scheduling flexibility are essential.
The role suits someone with at least two years of ambulatory healthcare experience who genuinely enjoys patient interaction and can stay organized in a busy environment. You'll need strong communication skills, solid computer literacy for EHR data entry, and the ability to learn financial assistance eligibility quickly. The work is straightforward but requires accuracy—from insurance verification to same-day message responses to keeping the waiting area welcoming.
JPCHC frames this as mission-driven work supporting underserved communities, and they back that up with a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous PTO, a 401(k) match, and life and disability insurance. If you want patient-facing healthcare work where variety and flexibility are built in, and you're comfortable moving between locations, this could be a solid fit.
