About this role

Winners Circle Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage core accounting and financial reporting operations across its Texas-based mental health and behavioral services organization and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you'll own journal entries and general ledger postings, drive month-end and year-end close cycles, and maintain the accuracy and compliance of financial records across multiple entities. The role involves hands-on work with payroll accounting through ADP, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet account management, and close-related documentation for external audits and tax filings.

This position requires at least five to seven years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated expertise in multi-entity environments, GAAP compliance, and the full close cycle. You'll need strong technical skills in ADP payroll systems and advanced Excel proficiency, along with the ability to research variances, resolve discrepancies, and identify process improvements. Experience with intercompany accounting, ERP systems like NetSuite or Sage Intacct, and healthcare or regulated service environments would strengthen your candidacy.

You'll work in the Houston office a minimum of three days per week and should expect extended hours during close and audit periods. The role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle competing priorities, and collaborative communication with finance leadership, payroll, HR, and operations teams. If you're comfortable with independent work in a structured financial environment while contributing to a purpose-driven organization, this could be a solid fit.
