The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead and start up our brand new fulfillment centre and operations team in Irving Texas.
As the Director of Southern Operations, you will be a key part in the enhancement and execution of Shipfusion’s eCommerce and wholesale fulfillment processes, with a focus on building and leading a team to achieve maximum efficiencies in our brand new fulfillment centre.
In this role you will...
- Start up and Lead the Irving fulfillment centre operation to achieve KPI’s and designing/improving processes to increase operational efficiency
- Work with our HR team to hire and develop the onsite leadership and fulfillment team
- Work directly with our Sr. VP of Operations and VP of Client Services to ensure the warehouse is executing on all operations goals and initiatives
- Work closely with our Client Services team to ensure client expectations are constantly being met by the warehouse operations team
- Work directly with our Support and Account Management teams to ensure deliverables are being achieved
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment ensuring policies and procedures are followed
- Facility P&L budget
What You’ll Bring to the Team (Required Skills & Abilities):
- 5-10 years of direct operational leadership experience preferably in a distribution or fulfillment environment
- Facility start up experience with project management is preferred
- Self motivated, flexible, and resilient leader with strong team building skills
- Ability to manage large scale and complex logistical projects
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, tech-oriented, startup culture
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of technology and ability to learn a proprietary WMS

About this role
ShipFusion is building a new fulfillment centre in Irving, Texas, and this role offers the chance to lead that operation from the ground up. As Director of Southern Operations, you'd own the startup phase—hiring and developing the onsite leadership team, designing processes to hit KPIs, and establishing the warehouse as a reliable extension of ShipFusion's client services. You'd report directly to senior leadership and work across multiple teams (HR, Client Services, Support, Account Management) to ensure the facility meets both operational goals and client expectations while maintaining safety and managing the facility budget.
The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of operational leadership in distribution or fulfillment, ideally with facility startup and project management experience. You'll need to be self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable leading large-scale logistics projects in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to learn ShipFusion's proprietary warehouse management system are essential.
