About this role
At Aviation Institute of Maintenance's Philadelphia campus, you'd manage the financial aid lifecycle for students pursuing FAA-certified aircraft technician training. The role centers on processing and tracking aid documentation—FAFSA applications, VA benefits, military tuition assistance, and loan paperwork—while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and institutional requirements. You'd review student files for completeness, conduct loan counseling sessions, monitor disbursement timelines, and meet with incoming students to walk them through their funding options.
This position demands strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy environment. You'll need financial aid experience (proprietary school background is a plus) and solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial aid systems. The work requires balancing multiple priorities while keeping students at the center of your approach—answering questions, following up on missing documents, and connecting people to the right resources across campus.
The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 9am–6pm, with one late evening per week and alternating Saturdays. Compensation is $24–$28 per hour depending on experience. AIM offers a standard benefits package including 401(k) matching, health and dental coverage, paid time off, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
