About this role
Perry Ellis International's Purchasing Assistant role is centered on order management and cross-functional coordination within a fast-paced apparel sourcing environment. You'd support the Purchasing Agent by handling data entry and revisions in Jesta and PLM systems, processing make-up orders and purchase orders, and tracking approvals across departments. A significant portion of your day involves communicating with overseas offices and internal teams—Compliance, QC, Sales, Planning, Sourcing, and others—to resolve issues, verify specifications, and manage order adjustments for delivery dates, shortages, and cancellations.
This position requires an Associate's Degree and one to two years of purchasing experience, with fluency in English and Spanish. You'll need solid technical skills, particularly advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with Essentus and PLM systems. Strong organizational ability and attention to detail are essential, as is the capacity to juggle multiple priorities and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. The role suits someone comfortable working independently on administrative tasks while also collaborating across departments to solve problems.
Perry Ellis offers standard benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee clothing discount. The position is full-time and based in Miami, requiring in-office work.
