About this role

Morgan & Morgan's Social Security team is looking for a Legal Assistant to handle the administrative backbone of consumer rights cases. You'd manage case files, organize evidence and legal documents, maintain filing systems, and draft correspondence—essentially keeping attorneys organized so they can focus on representing clients against insurance companies and large corporations. The role also involves scheduling hearings, communicating with clients and witnesses, handling billing, and researching legal regulations as needed.

The position suits someone with strong organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities with minimal supervision. While a high school diploma is the baseline requirement, the firm prefers candidates with paralegal training, a bachelor's degree, or relevant experience in legal, medical, or social services work—particularly background in Veterans Affairs case management. You'll need solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently while staying detail-oriented across a varied caseload.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Jacksonville paying $20 per hour. The firm offers medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays for full-time staff.
