About this role
Supporting multiple Engineering Leadership team members at a fast-growing defense tech company, this Executive Assistant role demands someone who can manage competing priorities across high-stakes calendars, coordinate complex logistics, and keep strategic initiatives on track. You'll be the operational backbone for several executives, handling everything from scheduling across time zones and organizing board meetings to drafting executive communications and liaising with government officials, board members, and external partners. The role requires equal parts tactical execution and strategic thinking—anticipating needs, managing sensitive information with discretion, and staying calm in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
CHAOS Industries is looking for someone with at least six years supporting Director-level or above leadership, ideally in tech, aerospace, or defense. You'll need strong organizational skills, polished written and verbal communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools, and the judgment to navigate complex stakeholder relationships. Experience in the defense or aerospace sector is preferred but not required; what matters most is a track record of thriving in fast-moving, growth-stage companies and the emotional intelligence to build rapport across all organizational levels.
Based in the Washington, D.C. office on a full-time, in-office basis, this position offers a $120,000–$160,000 base salary plus equity, comprehensive health coverage (fully company-paid), 401(k) matching, unlimited PTO, and perks like free daily lunch and a fully-stocked kitchen. CHAOS has raised $1 billion in funding and operates across five global offices with 500+ employees.
