About this role
Trilon Group's Construction Engineering Intern role offers summer students the chance to work on real projects across civil engineering, environmental consulting, surveying, and related disciplines. You'll split time between office and field work—participating in site inspections, collecting and analyzing data, preparing technical drawings in AutoCAD, and supporting project documentation. The work is hands-on and varied, designed to let you apply what you're learning in the classroom while contributing meaningfully to active assignments.
The internship suits students currently enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs or related technical fields like environmental science, GIS, planning, or landscape architecture. You'll need solid communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic Microsoft Office proficiency; AutoCAD or GIS experience is a plus but not required, and prior internship experience isn't necessary. MSG emphasizes learning and professional development alongside the technical work, so the role is structured to help you explore different specialties within the firm's service areas.
The position is full-time and based in Cleveland, Ohio, with compensation between $20–$22 per hour. Eligible interns receive a 401(k) match and flexible scheduling. Your specific assignments will depend on your background, interests, and the firm's current project needs.
