Diagnose, quantify, and resolve complex performance losses in utility-scale solar assets, including inverter, tracker, communications, soiling, and balance-of-system related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
Direct repowering and retrofit initiatives across operating solar power plants, including equipment replacement strategies, system upgrades, integration planning, and recommissioning support. Oversee photovoltaic (PV) module testing, characterization, and failure analysis programs, including electroluminescence (EL) imaging, flash testing, and interpretation of module defect and performance data to inform warranty claims and fleet-wide remediation. Provide technical oversight of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility-scale solar power plant systems, including DC collection systems, medium-voltage (MV) AC systems, communications networks, and plant monitoring infrastructure. Lead grid and market operations activities for utility-scale renewable assets, including coordination with Independent System Operators (ISOs) such as CAISO and ERCOT, telemetry and compliance support, and outage coordination. Manage relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and third-party O&M providers to resolve warranty and systemic issues; drive deployment of automation technologies such as robotics and drones; mentor team members; ensure compliance with industry standards and ISO market rules; and report performance trends and strategic priorities to senior management.
