About this role

At Capital Rx, the Pharmacy Audit Lead role bridges individual contributor and team leadership work. You'll conduct pharmacy audits while overseeing daily operations—assigning work, monitoring quality and productivity, coaching staff, and serving as the first point of escalation for audit issues. The position requires you to maintain audit procedures and documentation, validate findings and recovery calculations, manage client deliverables and reporting, and use operational metrics to drive workflow improvements. You'll also act as the pharmacy audit subject matter expert, partnering with Compliance, Legal, Client Services, and other internal teams to flag risks and suspected fraud or abuse.

This role demands four to six years of pharmacy or PBM auditing experience, including hands-on audit work and prior team lead responsibility. You'll need an active pharmacy technician certification or registration, a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience, and strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and audit or workflow tools. A pharmacist license is preferred but not required. Success here depends on solid analytical and organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and clear communication across multiple departments.

The position is hybrid and based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a salary range of $92,400 to $102,500. It suits someone ready to move into a leadership role while staying hands-on with the technical work, particularly if you're looking to deepen your impact on operational efficiency and compliance within a health technology environment.
