About this role
MorganFranklin Consulting is hiring a Business Development Associate in Austin to drive new client acquisition for Highspring's consulting and managed services division. This is a remote role with a critical local component: you'll spend significant time meeting prospects and clients in person across the Austin market, so local presence is essential. The position sits at the front end of the sales pipeline, where you'll identify and qualify prospective clients through cold calling, email, social outreach, and networking, then coordinate meetings between those prospects and the company's senior sellers and subject matter experts.
The work combines classic business development activities—prospecting, lead qualification, CRM management, and sales reporting—with relationship building in a specific geographic market. You'll need 1–3 years of sales experience, ideally with cold calling or outbound sales background, plus an established network within the Austin business community. Strong communication skills, persistence through rejection, and comfort with CRM platforms like Salesforce or Bullhorn are core to success. The role offers structured sales training and the chance to build deeper client relationships over time as you develop your skills alongside an experienced team.
The position offers a base salary of $65,000–$75,000 plus performance-based bonuses, remote flexibility within the local market, and a clear path to greater responsibility. It's best suited for someone who thrives on prospecting, has genuine connections in Austin's business community, and is ready to grow into a more senior sales role.
