About this role

LINK, a woman-owned federal consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Strategist to serve as a trusted advisor to government and industry clients navigating complex organizational challenges. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders to translate ambiguity into actionable strategy, leading executive workshops, research efforts, and strategic planning initiatives that shape how clients approach transformation, communication, and innovation. This role demands someone who can move fluidly between discovery and delivery—extracting insights from stakeholder interviews and assessments, then synthesizing findings into clear strategic recommendations and compelling narratives that drive decision-making.

The position blends strategic advisory with storytelling and change management. You'll develop messaging frameworks and communication strategies, collaborate with creative teams to produce visual products, and design implementation approaches that help organizations navigate resistance and achieve adoption. Success requires 10+ years in strategic communications, consulting, public affairs, or organizational transformation, along with the ability to facilitate high-level discussions, manage ambiguity, and maintain quality across multiple concurrent engagements. A background in journalism, communication, business, or public policy is expected, and the ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance is required.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Washington, D.C., with an expectation of 4–5 days per week on-site. You'll also mentor colleagues and contribute to LINK's team culture while driving business growth through client success and long-term engagement expansion.
