About this role

Onsemi's Hudson facility is seeking an experienced equipment maintenance technician to support its semiconductor fabrication operations on a rotating shift schedule. The role centers on hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance of complex automated manufacturing equipment, requiring you to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, execute repairs using both power and hand tools, and document all work in the company's CMMS system. You'll also collect and analyze equipment performance data using predictive maintenance technologies, communicate with vendors on technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of the maintenance program through documentation and process refinement.

This position demands at least five years of manufacturing maintenance experience with solid grounding in electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems. You'll need to read blueprints and technical manuals confidently, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer literacy—particularly MS Office, and ideally MES and SAP—is essential. The role requires physical stamina to stand and walk 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds, plus flexibility to work front-end rotating shifts (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays, 6 AM–6 PM).

A high school diploma or GED is the baseline requirement. Additional credentials such as a vocational certificate, technical training, or associate degree, combined with familiarity with 5S, LEAN, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 standards, would strengthen your candidacy. This is a full-time, in-office position suited to a self-motivated technician ready to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing demands.
