About this role

Kelso Building Services is building out a remote monitoring operation and needs detail-oriented specialists to watch over commercial building systems across the country. You'd be the eyes on alarms and notifications for HVAC equipment and building automation systems, analyzing what's happening, talking to customers about issues, and coordinating technician dispatch when something needs hands-on attention. The work involves tracking multiple facilities at once, documenting events, and escalating critical problems—essentially being the first line of response for building performance issues happening after hours and on weekends.

The role welcomes people from several technical backgrounds: HVAC dispatch or service, facilities management, building controls, industrial maintenance, or even general technical support roles. While prior BAS experience is a plus, the company will train capable candidates who show strong troubleshooting instincts, reliability, and comfort navigating software and multiple screens. You'd need to be comfortable working nights (6 PM to 6 AM), weekends, and holiday coverage, and able to manage competing priorities independently with minimal supervision.

This is a full-time remote position based in Ogden, Utah, suited for someone interested in building automation and smart building technologies who values flexible scheduling and the chance to develop expertise in a growing field.
