About this role
CBIZ's Tax Transformation team is looking for a manager who can bridge tax expertise and process improvement to modernize how the firm delivers tax services. You'll work at the intersection of tax operations and technology, partnering with tax professionals and IT teams to redesign workflows, implement automation and offshore capabilities, and roll out new platforms across the practice. The role demands someone who can translate business needs into technical requirements, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and guide teams through change—all while staying current with emerging tax technologies and industry trends.
To succeed here, you need at least six years of tax or tax technology experience, ideally from a public accounting firm, plus three years in a supervisory capacity. A background with Individual or Partnership tax engagements is essential, as is familiarity with major platforms from Thomson Reuters or Wolters Kluwer. You should be comfortable with project management methodologies (Agile and Traditional), collaboration tools like Jira or VSTS, and the analytical rigor required to document current and future-state processes. A CPA, bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and PMP certification strengthen your candidacy.
This is an in-office role in Atlanta with minimal travel (under 10%), suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to drive meaningful change within a large, established professional services firm.
