About this role
Dogs Trust's Mass Participation Fundraising Assistant role sits at the heart of supporter engagement, managing the inbox and day-to-day interactions that keep their community fundraising programme running. You'd be the first point of contact for people taking part in marathons, sponsored events, and other mass participation activities—responding to queries, solving problems, and ensuring supporters feel valued whether they're reaching out by phone, email, or in person. Beyond the desk, you'd attend events yourself to cheer on participants and represent the charity directly in the community.
The day-to-day work blends customer service with logistics and administration. You'll handle event coordination, organize fundraising packs, update supporter records, and juggle multiple priorities as part of a team working toward ambitious growth targets. The role demands someone with proven experience in supporter or customer care who can communicate clearly, stay organized under pressure, and genuinely care about delivering excellent service. Be aware that the position involves some weekend working and occasional overnight travel to events across the country.
This is a fixed-term contract running until July 2027, based in London on a hybrid arrangement. You'd be joining a department that brings in roughly £88 million annually and is working to grow that by 25% over five years—so you'd be part of a scaling operation with real momentum behind it.
