Description

Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions for SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments.
Build and maintain CDS Views, AMDPs, OData Services, Enhancements, BAdIs, User Exits, Reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, Interfaces, and Workflow solutions.
Develop side-by-side extensions and cloud-native applications on SAP BTP.
Design and implement APIs, integrations, and reusable services using SAP Integration Suite.
Develop and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and enhance user experience across SAP solutions.
Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and provide technical solutions.
Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to SAP modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Follow SAP development standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
Support deployment, transport management, release activities, and post-production stabilization.
Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews and technical governance activities.

Qualifications

6-10 years of overall SAP development experience.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments.
Experience developing applications and extensions on SAP BTP.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Experience in SAP integrations, API development, cloud migration, and production support is preferred.

About this role

Zensar is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP developer to design and build solutions across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and cloud environments. You'll work on a broad technical stack—from traditional ABAP development and CDS Views to modern cloud-native applications on SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5 interfaces, and enterprise integrations via SAP Integration Suite. The role spans the full development lifecycle: requirements analysis with functional teams, architecture discussions, performance optimization, production troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer. You'll also mentor junior developers and contribute to SAP modernization initiatives.

This position suits developers with 6–10 years of SAP experience who have strong hands-on ABAP and S/4HANA credentials and are ready to expand into cloud platforms and APIs. Proficiency in ABAP on HANA, OData, REST/SOAP integrations, and SAP BTP services is essential. Agile/Scrum experience is required. While AI exposure is emerging as a bonus, the core expectation is solid cloud integration and extension architecture knowledge, plus the ability to troubleshoot and optimize in production environments.

Based in Hyderabad with hybrid flexibility, you'll join a 10,000-person global firm under the RPG Group umbrella. The role emphasizes both technical depth and collaboration—code reviews, governance, and cross-functional partnership are built in.
