About this role
Wild Rift's Game Operations team is seeking a Systems Engineer II to own the infrastructure, services, and tooling that keep the live game running smoothly across regions. You'll split your time between hands-on production support—troubleshooting distributed systems, responding to incidents, and performing root-cause analysis—and building automation to reduce manual work around deployments, capacity management, and routine operations. The role demands someone comfortable working across cloud platforms (AWS and Tencent Cloud), Linux environments, and data systems, with the ability to write maintainable code and collaborate across global technical teams in a follow-the-sun operations model.
This position requires solid foundational credentials (RHCE or RHCSA, CS degree or equivalent) and at least two years of professional systems or infrastructure engineering experience, ideally in high-availability or live-service settings. You'll need working proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages; hands-on knowledge of SQL, Git-based configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code practices; and real experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Professional fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential given the role's global scope.
The ideal candidate brings additional depth in distributed data platforms, Kubernetes, or high-volume online services, and genuinely cares about how technical decisions affect player experience. Riot offers standard benefits including medical coverage, paid time off, parental leave, and learning opportunities, alongside a collaborative culture that values inclusion and work-life balance.
