About this role
ecoATM Gazelle is seeking an HR Manager to lead employee relations and operations support for its hourly workforce across two Louisville facilities and a San Diego location. You'll serve as the primary HR business partner to site leadership, handling the full spectrum of generalist responsibilities: recruiting and onboarding, employee relations and investigations, attendance and leave administration, compliance with federal and state employment law, and workforce planning in partnership with Operations. The role requires someone comfortable working directly with hourly employees and frontline supervisors, with the judgment to resolve conflicts and manage performance issues independently.
This position demands at least eight years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated expertise in hourly and multi-site operations environments. You'll need solid working knowledge of federal, California, and Kentucky employment law, proficiency with HRIS and timekeeping systems, and strong Excel skills for reporting metrics like turnover and time-to-fill. A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is required; PHR or SHRM-CP certification and Spanish fluency are both strongly preferred.
The role is full-time, in-office five days per week with occasional early or evening availability for urgent matters. Based in Louisville at $90,000 to $110,000, the position may also include short-term and long-term performance incentives. This is a hands-on HR leadership role suited to someone who thrives as a trusted operational partner and wants to build engagement and retention within a growing, mission-driven organization.
